Official Saudi Rules for Zakat on Wealth
Official Nisab Standard
According to Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA):
- Gold Nisab: 85 grams of 24K gold
- Silver Nisab: 595 grams of pure silver
- Recommendation: Use silver Nisab for mixed wealth

Hawl (Full Year)
Zakat becomes obligatory only after a full Hijri year (12 lunar months) has passed since reaching Nisab.
Hawl calculation starts from the first date the wealth reached Nisab.
